If you have dry skin, you won't need to set the concealer on the face. However, once you immediately set it, it doesn't look untidy at all. The concealer has a soft matte finish but it does crease under my eyes (I have wrinkles so literally every concealer creases). Dabbing motion is the best way to blend the product. It gives a very refreshing look and doesn't look cakey at all. After the color corrector, I simply apply a light layer of this concealer with a medium flat brush in a triangle shape and blend everything by dabbing my YBP sponge. Once you have set the concealer with a loose powder, it is not going to smudge or melt at all. The concealer is waterproof and smudge proof. Even for face, it gives me medium coverage when mixed with other base products. For the face, I either mix with low coverage liquid foundations or with BB/CC creams or sometimes even with my tinted sunscreen. I wanted my under eyes to look properly concealed (rather than ashy and white) and also used the same concealer for the face. My skin tone matched with NC42 which has a distinct warm undertone and doesn't make me look ashy at all. It offers around 16 shades of cool and warm undertones and intentionally I chose the shade which matches my skin tone. I use a slight layer of the orange corrector and use this MAC concealer to conceal and brighten. I have hereditary dark circles so I have to use a peach/orange corrector. Coming to the coverage, it gives medium to full coverage. You can definitely build-up if required but start off with few dots.

Also, I noticed that you need a very tiny amount, preferably few dots because with this concealer 'less is more'. It also has a creamy touch to it and the moment you start blending, you would know how easy it is to work with.

It has medium kind of consistency – neither runny nor thick. The texture of the product is pretty workable.
